Kates Kountry Kitchen Reviews
5 out of 5 for everything!!! This place was just AMAZING. The food came in large amounts and came for really cheap, I ate a trucker's breakfast it was around 13.99 which is an amazing price for the amount of food they gave. (3 eggs, 3 meats and shredded potatoes.) The food was all homemade and not pre-made. The service was super good and fast. The waitress was amazing, very communicative and came to check on us once and a while. Really recommend. Hoping to go back
Kate’s Kountry Kitchen staff treats you like family while you enjoy a home style cooked meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Portions were huge and delicious. One of the best meals we have had in the true north. Definitely don’t pass up on dessert. Try their oversized homemade turtles or delicious blueberry topped cheesecake. Tell them Shane and his family said hello too and we can’t wait to see them next trip.
OK, here I go. I’m an over-the-road truck driver. Been doing this for two decades now. I don’t necessarily like driving in Canada during the winter season but.....I just happen to be in Northern Canada. Not sure of the location, but I stopped here to get some dinner and I’ll tell you guys Great place. Plus they have truck parking. You won’t be disappointed. The extreme freezing weather. What can I say I’m from Georgia. -25 is not my cup of tea, but if you’re ever in the area stop by you won’t be disappointed.
The food is excellent and staff/management very friendly. It’s clean and inviting with a great collection of gourmet pantry items and frozen meats from the local Mennonite community. I had to ask about the three “K’s” in the Kates Kountry Kitchen name. It turns out Kate was a young Mennonite woman who was great in the kitchen but very innocent in ways of the world outside of her community. She had come up with what she thought was a cute name for her new cafe. When her outsider brother-in-law explained meaning of the acronym you can imagine Kate’s horror. Unfortunately all paperwork had gone through and signage ordered. It turns out I was not the first person to ask about it, and there is absolutely no connection or hidden message, just great home cooked food and welcoming people. Will definitely be adding this stop on my return trip west.
I was genuinely amazed by how kind and welcoming she is. The place itself is absolutely beautiful, with an atmosphere that feels warm and inviting. The food was incredible—everything is homemade, even the bread, which was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable experience. You won’t be disappointed!
Our 1st experience today. Outstanding food, staff super friendly and helpful. And a lovely gift shop to browse in after. Excellent job. Will definitely stop every chance we get.
Great food great people lots of truck parking. The shower looks new and is clean. The place to go if you want to see great old school work ethics and old school prices. Im pretty sure everything is made from scratch in house. Extremely addictive stickybuns. Once you tryone, you'll find yourself callig ahead so theyput some aside for you.
Great experience. This is one of the best places to go on the way to sturgeon falls for a reasonably priced delicious meal. Try the broccoli soup and clubhouse as a Wrap. The sweet potatoes fries are amazing.
